I am currently reading a book called Cracker the best dog in Vietnam. It starts off with a boy and his dog running around with each other and loving one another. The boy and his family live in an apartment and the dog can't stay there so they have to give him away. The U.S army takes the dog away from the family so they can use her in Vietnam. They will use the dog to sniff out mines so that way the soldiers don't get killed.

For my plans after high school I am going to work for a little while first and see if I like my job. Then after I get my truck paid off and buy the things that I want I want to go to a crane operating school so I can operate heavy machinery. I would like to go to college for welding too, because that is what I'm going to do after high school. I hope that in two or three years I will be a crane operator in Iowa city or one of the bigger cities close to my house.

1.      Article Summary: Senate Blocks Drive for Gun Control

 

This article talked about how the senate blocked the expansion on gun control. The senators couldn’t get the 60 votes they needed to pass the gun control expansion. They also turned back proposals from the republican party and didn’t make an agreement with them. They blocked the proposal on concealed weapons and should focus on police force and should focus on prosecuting gun crimes.

 

 

2.      Opinion/Argument:

Some of the people that were shot at and some that had there relatives die say, “sham on you”. Well it’s not the gun that kills the people it is the person that uses the gun to kill people. I think that the senate is doing the right thing but they should do back round checks on the people that buy guns.

My name is Jared Marr I like to be outdoors. I like hunting, fishing and riding ATV, dirt-bikes, ATC's and snow mobiles. I am 17 years old and I'm a senior at Cascade High School. I am currently working at EIMCO in Farley doing CNC machining and welding. I'm not in any sports because I don't have time to be in them because I work every night. I don't like being In town because I have always lived in the country. I'm a big country kid and don't really get along with city kids. Because they don't know anything about the country.
